I began using Trillian pro in July 2004, and now it's possibly the best download of my life! I have Trillian pro 3 and
I use it as a chat medium, mail notifier and to keep track of world times. I use MSN to keep in touch with my friends, organizations,
and for my work.
This would usually necessitate numerous windows and lots of processor usage! But with Trillian I get an easy way to manage
all of these in a quick and streamlined way. Also, the default skin (there are many others available at the trillian website)
is small and classy, removing the bloated, default chat interfaces.
For those who don't know what Trillian pro is, Trillian Pro is a very powerful communications tool that includes a huge
number of features to enhance your IM experience, creating infinite possibilities during your journey on the Internet. that
combines ICQ, MSN, AIM, YIM, Jabber, IRC and Rendezvous into one sleek program. Instant messaging is the most convenient
means of communications on the internet today, filling an important niche between a phone call and e-mail; it's fast, and
not too intrusive. Users connect to a central server which allows real time message delivery to and from other users.
These messages utilize text, graphics, and even streaming video to make the IM experience stronger. However, there are
more than four different major messaging media currently in widespread use, which separates everyone and complicates this
convenient way of communication. Trillian is here to solve the problem, "instantly"! It can also run simultaneously
with a united buddy list. Your buddy list is highly configurable, allowing you to merge contacts from different mediums into
one group, and even allows you to customize the display name of any buddy, overridding their name and replacing it with one
of your choice. This feature is very useful for those people who constantly change names, or for those with a very large contact
list. You can just name your contacts their real names and have no issues remembering who they are. You can also sort your
buddies and put them in groups, for example, family, friends and work colleagues. This is the easiest way to see who is online!
