In October 2006 I had to find another carer because my other one Megan, had to leave me. So, I asked Qualcare if they
could put an advertisement in The Border Mail to help me find another. I received few applications from The Border Mail advertisement.
I tried them all out for 2-3 weeks, but I didn't like them. I asked Qualcare if they could put an advertisement on the Job
Search site and I waited for about 1 week. I received 1 email from a girl called Charo; She emailed me because Qualcare had
ignored her as they were short-staffed. I was very lucky that Charo emailed me afterall! Lol.
I asked her if she had MSN, to which she said no, but luckily I had email at my work. We chatted by email from then on.
It was difficult, but it was worth it. I said "WOW", as she was studying Law, and I was little bit worry about
that! Lol [only joking]
So, we chatted for few days. It seemed like I had already known her for ages! We arranged to meet up, face-to-face and
we chatted in person. I said "Yes" to her because I knew that she was a lovely person, and would be very good for
this job. It worked well, she had spare time for me during the day, because she did her studying at night.
I have known Charo for 3 months now, for which period she's also been my Personal Carer. She helps me lots and she is
a very, very good carer, and a very, very good friend. She does love to chat with me.
On February 21st I started TAFE, so I had to organise all my stuff, and luckily Charo was available for me all the time.
We went to TAFE together every Wednesday and had lots of fun.
Unfortunately, on the 2nd of March 2007 she came in to give me a shower and to chat. Afterwards, she sat on the chair
beside me and said "I've got something to tell you." I knew that she was going to say this, because I knew her boyfriend
was in bloody Army, lol . "I have to leave you because my boyfriend is moving to Darwin. I wish that she could've stayed
with me for a little bit more longer. Oh well, (sigh) I really enjoyed my time with Charo. We had lot of fun and laughs together,
and I made other real best friend.
Charo left me as my carer on 12\4\07 but we still BEST friend
