in November 2005 I had to find other carer because my other
carer [Karlie] left me. So I asked Qualcare if they could put an advertisement in The Border Mail.
I later received 2 applications from The Border Mail. There was an application from Nicole, and another from someone else.
Nicole answered it and she rang Qualcare.They gave her my information, to how to contact me and that's exactly what she did!
She sent an email and SMS to me. I liked her email and her resume. I said "WOW", she's a singer and I showed Emma
her resume. Emma said it was very good. Carol from Qualcare gave me Nicole's mobile number, and I sent an SMS and email to
Nicole. I asked Emma, "What you do think about her?" Emma told us that Nicole sounded really lovely. I said she
is just 19 years old. Emma was little bit angry with me..she told me the young age had nothing to do with it, and that I should
try her out. We later chatted on MSN for 1 hour, I think. Nicole was unsure about the job. She said "yes and no, and
yes and no". Then I said to her that I would look after her.
Nicole said "Awesome ok! Sounds good and you sound cool! I'll come tomorrow!" It was then that our friendship
started.
I have known Nicole for 3 months now, she's been my personal carer for 3 months. She helps lots and she is a very, very
good carer and a very, very good friend. The young age has got nothing to do with it. I was very wrong. I know it now.
Now she is like a little sister to me.I will always keep in contact with nicole.
On the 13th of January 2006 she came in to give me a shower.
Afterwards she sat on the chair beside me and said "I've got
something to tell you." I didn't know she going to say this, I wasn't ready for this. "I have to leave you because
I have to go to Wollongong. I received a letter from Wollongong University that said I had been accepted there." I was
a little bit angry and upset because I wasn't ready for this. I thought that she'd stay with me for a little bit more longer.
Oh well, I really enjoyed Nicole. We had lot of fun and laughs together and I made other real best friend.
